Azi e ziua muzicii. Al treilea pe ziua de azi: Zakir Hussain. Pentru cei care îl ştiu, douǎ sticle de Laphroaig. Pentru cei care nu, calea regalǎ: Wikipedia şi Isoştiţivoice. Cǎutaţi mai ales Making Music (1986), cu Jan Garbarek, Hariprashad Chaurasia şi cu John McLaughlin. Unul din cele mai bune albume pe care le-a dat lumea asta vreodatǎ. Punct.

Sorry, my Romanian is a bit lacking ;-)
I've noticed that you've used the word Laphroaig, which to me is a Whisky from the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Now I'm curious why you are mentioning it here?
Is there a connection between the musician and Laphroaig or is Laphroaig a word meaning something completely different in Romanian?
Can you solve the mystery for me?
He he. Good question, senor.
Just like in any Indo-European language, Laphroaig means what it is meant to mean: a good ol’ stinkin’ single malt Isley Scotch. The trick is in promising things: for those who really know who is Zakir Hussain (we ain’t too many of this kind here in gentlebrute Romania), a sip of Laphroaig (not the whole bottle, mind you: we’re speaking precious stuff here). For the others, a sip of Wikipedia.
Fair game, ain’t it, sir?
:)
