R.I.P. Richard Widmark

He just died a couple of days ago. But he didn't die. He just passed away. Great actors don't die. This is a misfortune relegated only to common people. They just happen to lose their fleshy support. The rest, the real illusion of a being, remains on celluloid.

Richard Widmark: felon, cowboy, hero.

Richard Widmark: actor.
