I'm slightly under the influence. Therefore, nostalgic. And the words just pop up effortlessly into my mind:

"I ain't ever found peace upon the breast of a girl"

Damn it. The The. I wish I'd see them in a concert. One of the best bands this bloody decadent West world gave us. The '80s. The pain. The soulless years.

Cyberpunk, decadenti si obsedanti. Si, in mod paradoxal, romantici, de un romantism presque passe en ce siecle cinique et arrogant.


Una din trupele mele preferate: The The. De pe albumul Mind Bomb, din 1989, cand unii citeau Neuromancer (ma rog, a fost scris in 1984, dar in 1989 era al dracu de contemporan), iar altii faceau revolutzii. Sau se uitau la revolutii la televizor. Ceea ce este la fel de cyberpunk, decadent, obsedant si desuet.

Vocea de femme fatale e a lui Sinéad O'Connor. Ai dracu' celtzi, cu talentul lor inepuizabil si cu tristetea lor eleganta.


Go figure. And get sad.
